Joey Finds His Forever Home

Hi Friends! You might remember just over a week ago I mentioned that me and my human sister Alyssa were working on something really cool. Here it is! Alyssa is a forever foster momma for this sweet boy! His name is Joey. If he looks very familiar it’s because he looks very much like our own Boss Lady Jade, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge a couple months ago. Joey has had a rough time in his older years. He was dumped and living life on the run. A Good Samaritan found him and took him to the shelter. As soon as his ‘stray hold’ was up the shelter reached out to Diamond Dogs Rescue to see if they had space for him since he wasn’t doing well in the shelter environment. An amazing volunteer stepped up to foster him. Fast forward a few more weeks. It was time to find Joey’s forever foster, that’s when Momma showed Alyssa the photo, and the rest is history. Joey is extremely underweight, and walks with a little limp, but he is smart and has fallen totally in love with his human. She refers to him as her toasty little glue stick.
